Who we are

Clayworks Labs creates and publishes independent software, games and experiments. We also make music software under the CLYWRKS name. For privacy questions, contact info@clywrks.com.

Information you give us

We receive information you choose to send when you email us, request support or join a mailing list. This may include your email address, message, product and device details, and any files or logs you attach. Please do not send information we do not need.

Apps and information on your device

Our products may store settings, progress, projects or other content locally on your device. Local information is not available to Clayworks Labs unless you deliberately send or share it with us. Removing an app or clearing its storage may remove this information.

Product-specific practices are described below and in the relevant app-store privacy information. If a future product handles data differently, we will update this policy before that handling begins.

Websites, analytics and cookies

Our hosting and security providers may process routine technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps to deliver and protect our websites. Services used to deliver resources such as web fonts may receive similar request data.

The CLYWRKS website uses Google Analytics and the TikTok Pixel to understand visits and marketing performance. These services may use cookies or similar technologies and process device, interaction and approximate-location information under their own privacy policies. You can manage cookies through your browser. In regions where consent is required, non-essential technologies require your consent.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are processed by the store or payment provider you use, such as Apple’s App Store, Google Play or Lemon Squeezy. Clayworks Labs does not receive your full payment-card details. We may receive order, product, licence, country or entitlement information needed to deliver a purchase, provide support, prevent fraud or keep legally required records. The provider handles its own data under its policy.

How we use and share information

We use information only as needed to provide products and purchases, respond to support, send requested updates, maintain security, understand our websites where permitted, and meet legal obligations. Depending on the context, we rely on performance of a contract, consent, legitimate interests or a legal obligation. We do not sell personal information.

We use providers for hosting, security, app distribution, payments, mailing lists and website measurement. This may include Cloudflare, Apple, Google, Lemon Squeezy and TikTok. They process information for their services under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect our rights, products or users.

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the limited information we handle. Where required, international transfers are protected by appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.

Retention, deletion and your rights

We keep support messages and related information only as long as reasonably needed to answer, maintain records or resolve issues. Mailing-list information is kept until you unsubscribe. Purchase and tax records may be kept where legally required. Local app data stays on your device until you remove it. Store and service providers apply their own retention periods.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email and manage cookies through available site or browser controls. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. Email us to make a request. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; in the UK, this is the ICO.

Product notes

Rituals

Rituals requires no account and contains no advertising, analytics or tracking. Progress and settings stay on your device. If you use the system share sheet, Clayworks Labs does not receive what you share. Optional purchases are handled by your app-store provider.

CLYWRKS products

CLYWRKS desktop products keep projects and settings locally unless you choose to send information to support. Purchases and mailing-list sign-ups are handled through Lemon Squeezy. The CLYWRKS website uses the measurement technologies described above.
